If you're working with a Make It Compound coach (or you've received an invitation from a coach who uses our platform), you can connect your account to theirs so they can support you with full context.
Two Ways to Connect
- Coach sends you an invitation email. Click the link in the email, create your account through it, and the connection happens automatically when you finish signing up.
- You enter the coach's code. Every approved coach has a code that looks like
MIC-AB12CD. Go to Settings → Coach, paste it in, and confirm.
What Your Coach Can See
Read-only access to your budget, transactions, accounts, goals, and debts — the same view you see in your own dashboard.
What Your Coach Cannot Do
- Create, edit, or delete anything in your account.
- Move money, change settings, or take any action on your behalf.
- See another coach's clients, or see your data after you disconnect.
- Read coach-private session notes is one-way — coaches keep their own notes about each client, but you cannot read those notes and they cannot share them with you through the platform.
Transparency Log
Every time your coach views your data, the access is recorded in your settings. You can see exactly when they looked and what they accessed. No surprises.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings → Coach and click Disconnect. The connection ends immediately and your coach loses access on their next request. Your data stays with you. If you want to reconnect later, your coach can send a new invitation.
