Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time without contacting us. Here's how:

  1. Sign in and go to Settings → Data & privacy.
  2. Confirm with your authenticator app (a fresh MFA verification is required for destructive actions).
  3. Type the confirmation phrase and click Schedule deletion.

The 7-Day Grace Period

Once you confirm, your account enters a 7-day grace window. During that time you'll see a banner at the top of every page with a Cancel deletion button. You can change your mind any time before the 7 days are up and your account picks back up exactly where you left off.

After 7 days, a background job runs that:

  • Revokes every Plaid bank connection on your account.
  • Deletes every record we hold for you across transactions, budgets, goals, debts, coach connections, sessions, notifications, and exports.
  • Deletes your authentication record.
  • Removes you from any email marketing lists.

The only thing retained after deletion is the audit log (90 days), kept for SOC 2 compliance — it records that a deletion occurred but contains no personal data.

Go to Export your data before starting the deletion flow. Exports are available as JSON or CSV and include every transaction, budget, goal, and account.
